Business Development Manager

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to expand our team and looking for a Business Development Manager.

The Role

We are initially looking for a single ambitious salesperson to be based in our Skelmersdale office who wants to drive their career and to help speed up our growth following acquisition by the Clear Course Group.
You will be responsible for managing a self-generated sales pipeline for the Bright Office CRM product, all sales targets are UK based and you will be responsible for driving your personal performance. Most selling and demoing will be done to prospects remotely but where the size of the opportunity warrants, will require UK wide travel.

  • Contribute to a productive and achievement-oriented team environment.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in business needs, creating short term and long-term solutions and strategies to sell.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly plans to deliver the revenue targets. Continually review and improve your outbound performance through tactical analysis of performance and risks.
  • Maintain correct processes and procedures to effectively measure customer feedback.
  • Proficient use of the Sales CRM tools for tracking activity, pipeline, and revenue metrics.
  • Engage with Commercial, Product, Marketing and Support & Implementation teams to ensure operational plans are in place to deliver Key Strategic Initiatives.
  • Be an active part of the sales community within the ClearCourse Group.


  • Proven track record in a software selling business is beneficial but not essential as full training on the product will be given
  • Selling to senior staff in businesses with at least 2 years’ experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in effectively managing the sales cycle across target accounts, opportunity identification, qualification, negotiation and closing.
  • Strong communication, presentation and forecasting skills.
  • Strong technical acumen, ability to demonstrate software and participate in technical conversations.
  • The ability to consistently exceed quota by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business, to execute on the business’s long-term goals.

Candidates must have a full UK driving licence, as the role involves travel throughout the UK.
Although training will be given on our products, we need people who have a thirst to learn and are determined to succeed.
